During my recent stay at Zámeček Pod Hradem in Starý Jičín, I was once again reminded why this picturesque hotel near the castle has secured a place in my heart. The large, cozy room was a delight, fitted with wooden furniture and a lovely view of the surrounding landscape, making it the perfect setting for relaxation after a day of exploring. The restaurant, located in a charming cellar that exudes an authentic medieval vibe, offered an exceptional dining experience. I heartily recommend the steaks-juicy and expertly cooked-followed by the amazing marinated plums with almonds and vanilla ice cream for dessert. It's a true culinary adventure that captivates both the palate and the spirit. What truly stood out was the warmth of the staff; their friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. Returning here a decade later reaffirmed our excellent memories, proving that time only enhances the charm of this historic retreat. If you're looking to indulge in both comfort and history during your travels, Zámeček Pod Hradem is an experience you won't want to miss!
